1. PDF files for online reading
Users hate coming across a PDF file while browsing, because it breaks their flow. Even simple things like printing or saving documents are difficult because standard browser commands don’t work. Layouts are often optimized for a sheet of paper, which rarely matches the size of the user’s browser window. Bye-bye smooth scrolling. Hello tiny fonts.

  1. Ok, you all might laugh, but it makes sense! The other day on Oprah she was talking about how to write a letter. She said that you should alway try to get it all on one page on one side of the paper. That way if someone wants to put it up in their home, it’s all there to read.

So it makes sense to design your page so that it’s easy to read, and simple, not a lot of crap that will confuse the reader or make them jump back and forth or even have to download something to finish what they are reading. I know that just irks me!!
